Make Your Content Climb to the Top of a Google Search.

Content marketing used to be simple. If you wrote enough copy, your chances of ranking high enough in search to gain visibility and traffic were pretty good. But because of the proliferation of content among businesses, bloggers and publishers, it now takes a little more determination to be seen.
“Simply put, more companies are realizing the importance of content marketing, making it a more competitive space to occupy,” said Austin Paley, director of corporate marketing at Blue Fountain Media. He offered four tips to help your content climb to the top of a Google search.
- Go after keywords that might not necessarily garner the most volume, but are less competitive and thus you’re more likely to rank for.
- Cover subjects that aren’t overdone or consider compiling three great resources into one—making your article the “go-to” option for users.
- Maintain a freshness factor by regularly updating content.
- Craft high-quality content—it’s still key, now more than ever. It will help your business rank higher in search engines, making it easier for users to discover the content and the value proposition your company offers.
